Innovation and Entrepreneur Education Courses for Makers

In the next five years, the development of maker technology will point towards the core of connotative development of basic education, which will arouse the great change and lead the future education to a new era of makers. With the pattern of open innovation crowd funding verification and the chance of Internet of things intelligent hardware, SZOIL integrates the industrial chain, develops the innovation and entrepreneurship course aimed to primary and middle school as well as the universities and actively carries out the maker practice teaching in school.

Fab Academy course training

Fab Academy course is under the guidance and management of Professor Neil Gershenfeld from MIT CBA, and the course is a digital manufacturing program based on the rapid prototype development course MAS 863 of MIT, How to Make Almost Anything (HTMAA). Fab Lab course at first was a promotion project of CBA and now it is spread to the Fab Lab all over the world. The project provides students with advanced digital manufacturing instruction through the special hands-on course using the technical tools and resources.

SZOIL is the first and only node in Shenzhen for the course of MIT CBA Fab Academy 2016. 

Through the HTMAA courses, you will learn:

· How to make rapid prototype with the digital manufacturing tools of Fab Lab;

· Electronic design and production by using various sensors, output device and circuit board;

· How to program the AVR microcontroller on the circuit board made by yourself;

· Molding and casting

· Knowledge and skills of 3D scanning and printing

HTGAA course training

HTGAA course is the project guided by the genetics professor George Church from the Harvard Medical School, which is to teach How to Grow Almost Anything (HTGAA)

SZOIL is the first and only node of 2016 HTGAA in Shenzhen, and the course was officially started in August.

Through the HTGAA, you will learn:

· DNA nanostructure

· Synthesis of minimal cell

· Next generation complex

· Bio-manufacturing

· Bio-design, diversity and natural selection

· Knowledge & skill in genome engineering

Innovation and Entrepreneur Education Course

The students will learn about the intelligent hardware of Internet of Things and turn the design thinking to the products, finally the brand image is established on the internet through the actual operation of crowd funding. The Lab will also promote the integration of universities and social manufacturing resources and the close cooperation of team project of college students and international crowd funding to lead the entrepreneurship project of students to the market and realize the capitalization of products.

Innovation Sprint workshop

The students will form the smart hardware concept that begins from the design thinking under the guidance of professional tutor, and then learn all kinds of maker tools with goals and complete the product prototype, and it will finally turn to crowd funding after constant modification and renewal. 

Maker education for primary and middle schools

It is devoted to the maker education for primary and middle school and combines the spirit of practical operation with the advantage of SZOIL, bringing the maker education to primary and middle schools and providing the courses aimed to train the ability of logic programming and innovation, and it also provides solutions such as open source hardware and intelligent hardware, etc.

Webduino

Webduino paves a crucial path for the Internet of Things, which makes the Web developer get access to the field of hardware easier and allows the developer of hardware to use the service of webpage easier as well. They can develop them simply with Web syntax such as HTML, Javascript, without learning the difficult C and C++, and also they can use the Arduino to control various sensors as long as they can make webpage. No matter it is Windows, Mac, Android or iOS, it can be operated smoothly and realize the cross-platform control.

SmartNode

SmartNode is an online graphical programming tool prepared for the development of intelligent hardware. It adapts the hardware to the design, reflecting the design of maker like a mind map. The developer having no programming experience can quickly grasp it and easily realize all kinds of intelligent applications by dragging, linking and setting up the modular graph, actually realizing code-free programming and making the development of intelligent hardware easier and the process of creation more efficient.

Sparki

Sparki is the Arduino-based robot developed for primary and middle school students and Robot amateurs by American ArcBotics team, which uses drag-and-drop programming software based on Arduino programming language to realize the operation of automatic drawing, line patrol, obstacle avoidance, clamping, etc. At present, it has been taken into the courses of world-famous university including Cambridge, Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, MIT, etc..

Hao7 club

Hao7 club is the Chinese version of American nonprofit education plan -Curiosity Hacked, which focuses on the STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, art and math) of people between 4-18 years old. It pays attention to the construction of skills by teaching technical skills such as welding, sewing, computer programming, engineering, and material preparation, and it guides the young students by conceptualized process and turns the concepts into products. It develops through the regional branches across America and emphasizes open source and sharing. SZOIL cooperates with it and sets up China branch in Shenzhen to realize localization and promotes it across the country.
